NOEL...

There is a beautiful new Christmas themed mood board over at Jot magazine. I hope you get a chance to play along to win a fabulous prize.

I played with the yummy Merry and Bright collection from  Pink Paislee to create my layout.

I am looking forward to seeing what you create!

It's going to be Merry and Bright!

I am excited to be joining with the  girls on Heidi's team along side the girls from Pink Paislee in their Countdown 2 Christmas event starting on Dec 1. Everyday there is going to be prompts, downloads and inspiration leading up to Christmas on the Pink Paislee blog.

I thought I would start off with a little sneak of my cover of the Merry and Bright album.
Christmas to me is all about Joy for my Boys so I just had to add some Lego to my album cover right!
I asked my husband to design me a Lego reindeer and I then hot glued him to the cover over some silver ribbon!
I punched out the moustache from some of the Merry and Bright paper then added those gorgeous foil numbers to finish.

I love the texture it brings to my album and my boys love it too!

I can't wait to start filling the album now with memories of the Season.

Main Street USA

I am back today to share my second project using Stampin 's   yummy new Christmas collection Hello December .
I loved the Winter themed cards and embellishments but because it is Summer here in Australia
during Christmas I wanted more Winter Themed photos. I found some Disneyland photos from 2 years ago that were taken of the beautiful Christmas decorations  around the park which were just perfect!

The left side of the spread begins with that Wintery 4x6 card and I sprinkled in some of the sequins from the collection.

I added one of the Clear Overlays over this photo then added one of the phrase stickers to complete.

Here I stitched around the 3x4 card , then I ran it through my typewriter then added some of the foil letters and Wood Veneer shapes.

I machine stitched an extra pocket to the 12 x 12 page to add extra photos.

I used some of the Clear stamps to create my banner for my photo and I couldn't resist using the 3x4 card with the drawn circle to form part of Mickey's head, I added some machine stitching and then the two epoxy stickers for his ears.

The  right hand side continues with the Christmas theme.

I added some stamping , foil letters and phrase stickers to this 4x6 card.

This might be my favourite card, I adore that tree on the neutral card, I laid the clear overlay over the card then punched a star from one of the cards and added it to the top of my tree and finished with another phrase sticker.

To finish I added some of the Wood Veneer letters to the left photo and on the right I stamped that cute tree from the Clear stamp set then added my journaling.

I hope you get a chance to play with this yummy collection this holiday Season.

Hello December

I was so honoured recently when I was sent an email from Stampin Up asking if I would like to design some pages for their new Project Life Christmas collection Hello December ! I was sent the Cherry 6x8 album, Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack ,  Hello December Project Life Card Collection and and the Clear Wonder Stamp set found in their Holiday Supplement catalogue.
Today I am going to show the first of my two projects  I created.
I began with the 6x8 pocket pages and created a  title page for my album.

To one of the 3x4 cards I added some of the Silver foil numbers and phrase stickers.

Turning the page reveals the double page spread .

You can see I created my pages of my current obsession - yellow Christmas decorations.

I printed my journaling onto this pretty 3x4 card.

That Hello December comes from the Clear Stamp set and then I added one of the Wood diecut shapes to the card. I added one of the clear printed acetate overlays over my photo.

My second page.

I  added a small wood diecut shape to my photo and used the Christmas Cheer stamp over and over on this 3x4 card for a fun effect.

Be sure to pop back soon for my 2nd project I created !

beautiful moments

I am back to share my second project for my guest designer spot over at 17 Turtles. I got to play with the lovely Floral Bouquet digital cut file found here.
I teamed it up with the beautiful September Skies Alpine Rose pattern paper from Heidi Swapp.

I also used one of the yummy new Heidi Swapp Glitter words available from lobby Lobby for my title!

Teamed with some of the word stickers and ephemera pieces from September Skies  to complete my layout.

the DIY Chritsmas tree!

Popping in to share this DIY project that was up on the Jillibean Soup blog this week.
I used one of their new Mix The Media Wooden planks to make my Christmas frame that I am going to hang on my wall.
I simply painted it with some watered down acrylic white paint then gave it a sand to distress it. I used modge podge to add the pattern paper strips to form my tree and once dry I wrapped it in twinkling lights from TYPO!

and that was October

The months are adding up in my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner, so much so I had to get my planner rebound at a local printer!

Since it was my husband's and sons' birthday month I decided to celebrate that on the prompts page!

I used some self adhesive tabs to add some extra pockets into my planner- my sons birthday card...

a 3x4 card ...

 .
..and the cutest little note my eldest received at school after the holidays. I love that I have it now forever!

Lots of fun memories!

Lift up tabs for extra photos.

The Lovely Natalie May created this card for me and I wanted a special place to keep it, I simply punch holes in the chipboard, snipped through to the hole with scissors and  slipped it into my planner.

Here I cut down a pocket page to add in a few extra photos.

I used the FREE October printable  to pop into the pocket !

 and my calendar page!

Thanks for popping by.
