Scrapware and Hambly yumminess

I posted my first DT project on the Scrapware blog today, I got to play around with some new frames they have and also some GORGEOUS new hambly goodies, an overlay and pattern paper..OH so divine! For the frame I covered it in vintage book paper, using PVA glue and once it was dry I ripped it off randomly to leave a shabby effect, I then inked it with brown chalk ink.
I also used one of the little mini crowns and a decorative corner.
For the Hambly I layered my over lay over the pattern paper to created a two tone effect. I also used one of the crown rubons which BTW go on like butter. If your LSS doesnt stock hambly be sure to ask them to because their new products are just sensational.
PS I think it's still sort of yellow ...I am trying though LOL !!!!

little white lie....

Its ok to tell little white lies every now and again isn't it? LOL! Last month when I said I was trying out new things and tried the lets get shabby Challenge blog, I was really testing out myself to see if I could do a shabby layout because I was asked to be guest designer this month over at letsgetshabby !
Heres my layout I created for the challenge...we had to use music paper or something with music on it. I used the yummy paper from jillibean soup, some AC glitter thickers, lace and paper flowers all available from Handmadebysuzanne who is sponsoring the challenge this month. I would love to see you play along with me too...

My second layout uses some of Shells yummy yummy yummy new goodies over at lilredrocket. I have used one of her new froggies buttons and a paper doily she has in stock, I have layered the froggie over a scrapware birdcage and used one of my new frog pins from Mylittlebitofwhimsy.

I have based this layout on a sketch over at creativescrappers

Am off now to play with Taryn, Shell, Leanne, Renee and Gilly Oh and hopefully get some scrapping done too!

street art

WE have a fabulous bunch of neighbours and the kids are always out on the street up to something, one of Addison's fav things to do is to draw on the road with chalk.

I created this layout for the second challenge over at Scrapawhile, this was a scraplift challenge of the lovely Kerry Murray with her beautiful girly layout here ...of course I had to be different, not a flower in sight!

New fun chipboard from Scrapware and some distressed corrugated cardboard...my new favourite thing...

Scrap the boys

I hardly ever use flowers on my boys layouts so when this months Scraptheboys challenge asked us to use flowers, I took the plunge and tried it out...and you know I sort of like it. That gorgeous flower is of course from Lilredrocketbuttons and I seem to be having a bit of a love affair with corrugated cardboard at the moment, you will be seeing more soon.
PS I was soooo luckily to be SOUP SPOTTED again over on the JillibeanSoup blog, so happy!

Till next time, and thankyou all for your lovely comments on my last post I was blown away!

something a little different

Same old same old gets a bet boring after a while so I have decided to try a few new things with my scrapping. This month I tried out the challenge blog letsgetshabby and am sooo pleased with the result.(not a car or truck insight!) We had to use the quote and wings on our project. How gorgeous is that handmade flower from LIlredrocket Shell is just too clever!

And heres the story behind the photo, as may of you know there is a little(LOL) competition going on with a certain Ausralian scrappy magazine and my bestie Taryn and I decided to try out together to support each other, well we needed a photo of ourselves so one weekend we headed to the lake near our house to take some photos of each other and when we finished, on the spare of the moment we took this photo using the timer on my camera...a gorgeous photo of the two of us, I truly would not know what I would do with out her, This is the next installement of our challenge to scrap the same photo, please head on over to Taryn's blog to check out her gorgeous layout too!

bright and sunny.....

This month at handmadebysuzanne I was sent these gorgeously bright and sunny papers from Echo park, I received 6 different papers plus the letter stickers page and elements page...I managed 4 layouts and a card with enough product left over for at least 3 more layouts. This first layout was also used for the first challenge at CAMP MOJO a retreat I will be attending this time next year.

....and if you are after a fun giveaway don't forget to head on over to Lilredrocketbuttons for Augusts giveaway...it is soooooo cute!

This second layout was based on a sketch by Kim, lovin those chippies from Scrapware.

Short and sweet today.

he loves to water....

Every second Tuesday my boys visit my gorgeous friend Taryn's place for a bit of a play with her son Curty. One of Larsen's fav activities is to water her plants, he just loves it. I created this layout for the 1st of the month challenge over at Scrapawhile, we had to use two or more photos and some sort of technique...I used machine stitching and misting. I have finally got into the hand made flower stage, I made that little cream flower out of muslin....lots of fun, I think I will be doing some more too...Oh and I have used some of my new Scrapware goodies YUM YUM!!!
